Ambassador Program

Become an Ambassador

The Ambassador Program encourages and facilitates support for local Scout councils by leveraging the resources and connections of APO chapters and alumni groups. This support can take many forms. Essentially, the Ambassador Program aims to connect APO resources with local council needs, fostering partnerships that strengthen Scouting at the local level.

You would work to foster and strengthen relationships between APO chapters/alumni groups and local Scout councils, facilitating support for council programs and initiatives.

Recognition Initiative

Recognizing Eagle Scouts is a key part of our mission. We offer valuable support to Scout councils hosting Eagle Scout dinners or recognition events, including congratulatory certificates and letters from the national fraternity and its officers. To ensure new Eagles receive these recognitions, we can staff an information booth, distribute certificates directly, or utilize other council-preferred methods. We also actively promote these events to our local members, which can increase sponsorship, mentorship opportunities, and attendance.

Credential Initiative

We partner with councils to provide additional recognition for new Eagle Scouts. Beyond the standard national council certificate, membership credentials, and council materials, we offer our congratulatory letter, a scholarship application invitation, and an APO brochure. We can supply either printed copies or digital files for local reproduction, and we work closely with the individuals assembling the Eagle Scout packets to ensure seamless inclusion of our materials.

Event Initiative

Support your council through collaboration with an APO chapter or alumni group. While direct service to Scouts is valuable, indirect support through event sponsorship or assistance with activities like the Merit Badge University, popcorn distribution, Friends of Scouting phone-a-thon, or staffing an APO booth can also make a significant impact.
