As we move further into 2026, the Alpha Phi Omega Eagles Alumni Association is thrilled to spotlight the backbone of our community: our Council Ambassadors. These dedicated individuals serve as the vital link between our fraternity and local Scouting councils, ensuring that the next generation of leaders knows the power of leadership, friendship, and service.
To celebrate these efforts and encourage even deeper engagement, we are officially highlighting the Ambassador Recognition Program. This initiative allows our ambassadors to track their contributions and earn distinctive honors—from participating to the prestigious Distinguished Ambassador status.
How to Reach Distinction Earning points is designed to align with the great work many of you are already doing. Whether you are presenting a certificate to a new Eagle Scout (Section A), helping a young person apply for our Leaders of Service scholarship (Section B), or staffing a regional event like an Order of the Arrow Conclave (Section D), your efforts are moving the needle.
Key Opportunities for Points:
- The Credential Initiative: 50 points for working with your council to include APO congratulations letters in all new Eagle Scout packets.
- The Scholarship Review Team: 25 points for joining the committee that helps select our annual scholarship winners.
- Presentation Power: 10 points for every presentation you give to a District or Council committee about the scholarship or APO.
Getting Started: Before you begin tracking points, ensure your foundation is solid. All participants must be registered members of both their local council and APO Eagles and have completed the official on-demand training.
Your leadership ensures that the flame of Alpha Phi Omega continues to burn bright within the Scouting community. Let’s make 2026 a year of distinguished service!
